Our laboratory is a cooperative graduate course in the Plasma and Quantum Science and Engineering Major of Kyushu University, working closely with the National Institute for Fusion Science. We study atomic, molecular, and photonic processes relevant to fusion plasmas, materials science, and astrophysics.

You can work across theory, computation, spectroscopy, and data science while staying close to major fusion facilities and international collaborations.
Students first spend about half a year taking courses and exercises at Kyushu University, and then move to NIFS for full-scale research activities.
